To keep oneself pure and unspotted from the world, as I requested My children to do, is to keep your mind pure and unspotted from the temptations and imaginations that the devil concocts in your mind.
All sins, transgressions and disobedience begin in the mind before they are carried out in the flesh. So the time to stop the activity of the devil is when he first puts a thought into your mind, whether it's a thought of covetousness, envy, judgment, condemnation, murder, adultery, jealousy, division, conflict, strife, pride or any other destructive appeal.
You are cognizant of the areas of temptations to which you are most susceptible. begin to recognize the devil's devices when they are first presented to your mind as a primary thought. You know that you can stop him in his tracks when his plan first enters your mind, and you can refuse to carry out the evil deed that will come back and curse you. Stop it by refusing to entertain the destructive thought at its first appearance in your mind. That will weaken the power of the devil over you if you continue to refuse his thoughts that he presents to your mind. He doesn't like to be refused because he is after power. When you refuse to act upon his impulses he will eventually know that you are not easily tempted, neither do you give him power in your life.
Speaking My words to him will make him leave, just like they did with Jesus. Then My angels will minister to you just like they did with Jesus.
Be a watchman of your thoughts. It's your mind. You can choose My beneficial, pure and uplifting thoughts of love, peace, mercy and joy.
