ADDICTION VERSUS FREEDOM

Dear One,
Addiction is an interesting spiritual being.  It can't live without you and it convinces you that you can't live without it.
There are many kinds of addiction.  There is addiction to alcohol, addiction to drugs, addiction to anger, addiction to conflict, addiction to chaos, addiction to tobacco, addiction to gossip, addiction to politics, addiction to entertainment, addiction to communication devices, addiction to sexual lusts, addiction to food, addiction to lying, addiction to fear, addiction to perversion, addiction to worry, addiction to religious practices as a way to salvation, and many more.
A person who is addicted to something becomes a host to  an addiction spirit because the addiction can't act out its nature without a human body.  It can't satisfy its nature without a host, so you become the housing or the host for the addiction.   You fulfill the desires of its excessive cravings and you eventually become powerless to deny it the excessive activity that it desires.
There are cures for addiction.  One is to make a firm decision to refuse to be manipulated by it. That is the beginning of the cure.  Then the second step is to resist the addictive cravings which exist to enslave you.  When you resist it long enough, it will decide to leave you and attach itself to another host who will fulfill its desire for earthly activity.  After the deliverance, the freed person needs to constantly again deny the addiction again and again so that he or she will not again become a willing host.
Another way to cure a person of an addiction is to cast out the spirit of addiction from the person and cast it into the abyss where all evil spirits must go.  I have given My power to My children in the name of Jesus to fulfill that mission, to free the people who are in bondage to any kind of addiction.
A lie that is perpetuated is that an addiction is just part of the person's makeup; therefore the person will just have to bear it.   The truth is that it is not part of the person, that it is an alien spirit who wishes to take away the free will of the person who is its host, manipulating the person until the person gives up and allows the spirit to completely control, eventually leading to death.
You don't have to put up with being manipulated by any addictive spirit.  You can refuse the cravings that it uses to get you to surrender and obey its temptations.  You can speak to it and cast it away from you and into hell.
Don't let any addiction be the lord of your life.  You are my child and the object of My affection. I desire that you be free of all bondages to addictions.
     Love, God
