DENYING THE POWER

My Dear Precious Child,
   My Holy Spirit through the prophet Paul described "religion" in perfect terms.  He said that religious people hold a form of religion but they deny the power of it. (II Timothy 3:5) In other words, they institutionalize practices in churches so that the people trust in the practicing of the forms of religion to try to bring salvation to their lives.  If that were effective it would not have been necessary for Me to send My Son into the world to die for the sins of people and then to send My Holy Spirit into the world to live inside of My children to give them the power to overcome the devil's works in their lives. 
   Jesus Christ came into the world to destroy the works of the devil.  (I John 3:8)  There is nothing within any form of religious practices which overcomes evil in the lives of believers.  Think about it.  Did praising Me in the Jewish religious practices defeat the devil in any way?  No.  Did tithing defeat the devil in any way?  No.  They may have temporarily emotionally benefited the people by their praising Me and by feeling obedient by tithing so that by their placing their thoughts upon Me were good, but the good emotional feeling had nothing to do with defeating evil because My kingdom of heaven with My power was not actively involved in the praises because under the old ineffective covenant Jesus had not been to hell yet to defeat the devil in hell and retrieve from him the authority to the heavens and earth.  (Matthew 28:16-20)  After He did, He sent My Holy Spirit into My children to continue the ministry of Jesus Christ.
   Jesus said that true worshipers must worship Me in Spirit and in truth, indicating that when My new covenant of the Holy Spirit with the earth and people began, that the old religious ways of worship would be passe.  The old practices were merely traditions and they were powerless, anyway;  but under My new covenant with My children true worship would be that My children would become so united with Me in close communion that they would become intimately acquainted with Me so that they would emulate Me in their lives, which is true worship.  It's operating in the power of My Holy Spirit to continue what Jesus did in His ministry which is to overcome the works of the devil in the earth. 
   There is no spiritual power except with the baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire which John the Baptist called the baptism of Jesus. (Matthew 3:10-12)  Notice that in teaching about the baptism of the Holy Spirit and fire, John the Baptist said that any tree that does not produce good fruit would be cut down and thrown on the fire.  That mirrors the parable of the kingdom of heaven as taught by Jesus Christ which said after My covenant with Moses was over and My covenant of the Holy Spirit began that the Son of Man would come and cast out of the earth all spiritual causes of offense and the angels would come and escort them into the fiery furnace. (Matthew 13:36-43) 
    If My children of promise who have received the promised gift of being baptized in My Holy Spirit would assume their ministry of praying in intercessory prayers, I would be able to rid their lives of the offending demons who oppress and destroy their happiness, prosperity and joy.  You do the praying and I win the battles.  Cooperate with Me. (Ephesians 6:10-18)
