BLESSINGS IN KNOWING SPIRITUAL TRUTHS

My Dear Precious Child, Paul wrote a searing letter to the people in Colossae in an effort to encourage them to refuse to neglect the ministry of Christ Jesus and instead worship angels. He was fearful that they would eventually completely leave the truth of the ministry of Jesus Christ. Several of the old covenant prophets, such as Ezekiel and Enoch, had been transported to heaven and had been privileged to observe the ministry of the Holy Spirit and the angels in heaven and the earth but they had been warned not to place the angels above the ministry of Jesus Christ. It was his effort of writing the truth about the hierachy of heaven that gave him the idea to write to the Colossian church members in order to encourage them not to worship angels instead of Jesus Christ. The angels are servants of His, not vice versa. He began his letter by praying that I would give to the members of the church peace and grace, which is My unmerited favor, undeserved and never earned, but instead they are poured out upon mankind because of My love. He gave them the spiritual truth that they must always give thanks to Me, the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, in their prayers. He mentioned that he had heard of their faith in Christ Jesus and the Love that they bestowed toward all of the saints by the hope held in store for them in heaven. The same hope is held in store for you. He wrote that they had heard of the hope through the message of truth, the Gospel which had come to them which had borne fruit and had continued to grow in their midst as it had everywhere in the world. He congratulated them that that scenario had been the case from the day they were first introduced to the Gospel from the prophet Epaphrus, Paul's fellow slave for Christ, who represented Paul and his fellow ministry of Christ. He told them in his letter that it was Epaphrus who had first told him of their love in the Spirit. (Colossae 1:1-8) His encouragement to the people of the church at Colossae included the fact that he and his fellow ministers had been praying for them unceasingly, asking that they would have full knowledge of My will through perfect wisdom and spiritual insight. With spiritual insight and wisdom he wrote that they would multiply good works of every sort and grow in My knowledge. He reminded them that they would lead a life worthy of Me and their lives would be pleasing to Me in every way by their growing in knowledge of Me. Paul wrote to them that it was by the power of My might that they would have the strength needed to stand fast, enduring every difficulty that was to come upon them in life in the earth, always giving thanks to Him who loved them and you and made all of you worthy to share in the blessings of the saints in light. He glorified Me for rescuing all of his children from the power of darkness and brought them into the kingdom of My beloved Son. Paul proclaimed that it is in Him that My children obtain redemption and forgiveness of their sins. (Colossae 1:9-14) In order to contrast the ministry of angels and their ministry of Christ Jesus for people, Paul launched into the image of God and how Jesus Christ was My reflection in the earth, the firstborn of all creatures. He professed that it was in Christ Jesus that everything in the heaven and earth were created, things both visible and invisible, whether they are thrones or dominions, principalities or powers, that all things were created through and for Him. He professed that Christ is before everything else in the earth, that it was in Him that everything else became visible in the earth and that it is in Him that everything continues to be. Paul taught them that Christ Jesus is the head of the body of Christ, the church who is the beginning of My grace. He wrote that it pleased Me to make absolute fullness reside in Him, and, by the absolute fullness My children must give thanks to Me for having made them and you worthy to share in the blessings of the saints in light. He reminded them that it is through Christ Jesus that He reconciled everything in His person, both on earth and in heaven, making peace through the blood of His cross. (Colossae15-20) He reminded the people in the church at Colossae that they were once alienated from Me, holding hostility in their hearts, but it was through Christ reconciling everything through His person by His mortal body dying so as to present them, and you, to Me as holy, free from reproach and blame. But, Paul wrote, that it must be that they would hold onto the faith, being firmly grounded and steadfast in Him, unshaken in the hope promised by the Gospel that they, and you, have heard. He proclaimed that it was the same Gospel that had been announced to every creature under heaven, and that he, Paul, had been called as a servant of that Gospel. (Colossians 1:21-23) Paul was discouraged by some Christians who had been manipulated to return to the old covenant, having tried to put the new wine of the Gospel into old wine skins, such as the Law, that split the skins and spilled the wine all over the floor, as Jesus had warned. So he was suspicious of anyone who had diverged from the Gospel in any way, fearing that people would put the angels in the place of being ahead of Christ Jesus instead of being a servant of His. He endeavored to set the Colossians straight in his letter, even though he did not originally evangelize them in the scheme of things. Your Father of Multiple Spiritual Beings
