WAR OF THE MIND

Dear One, Be cautious every time the temptation comes to push the rewind button of your mind. It will be tempting you to replay past mistakes belonging to you or someoe else, a reliving of unpleasant memories which can cause buried resentment to resurface, bringing with the memories the bad emotions which will plague you. When past experiences have already been forgiven and dealth with, don't replay them. If you do, you dig up dead bones and give life to them, causing them to live again and bring back into your life the destructive situation, cursing you again with depression, regret and other toxic emotions. Instead of letting the devil's mental images plague you, follow My sdvice instead. Reach forward with hope and faith to the future, keeping your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Temptations to relive injurious events from the past are destructive strategies of your enemy to stake a claim on your mind so that he can ravage it and bind you to the past and his curses. If he can do that, your answers to prayers are hindered because of negative thought patterns. Live today with joy instead of resurrecting the past and reliving the horrors of it. Refuse to accept the horror movies in your mind involving words that hurt or actions that hurt you. That is cutting open an old wound that has already healed in an effort to resurrect the event that caused you so much pain. Your mind was meant to be the receiver of My words and images. When you dwell on hurtful events from the past, you are also rellving the events of Adam and Eve in the garden when they listened to the devil, believing his lies. That was an effort to bring a separation between My children and Me. The same scenario happens when you dwell on the hurts from a situation in the past. You are allowing satan to put separation between you and Me. My children often blame Adam and Eve for the situation My children experience all the time, those being curses in the earth. You do the same thing every day if you choose to relive past problems and allow the outpouring of negative hormones caused by rewinding your mind and dwelling on something from the past that is dead. Don't give the robber of your glorious inheritance the right to rob you again by temporarily resurrecting the past and the mistakes you made or someone else made. Choose between the curses of the past and My promises for your future. That happens by choosing your thoughts.
