Dear One,
The devil will advance speedily if you don't stop him when he initially begins his attack.
You have experienced it many times. When thoughts of anger, disgust, depression or condemnation first attack your mind, if you don't replace those damaging thoughts with hopeful, faith-filled, positive and loving thoughts then the negative ones will gain momentum and grow into overpowering attitudes and then destructive actions.
You can speak My words to him, either My standard that I have established in My Instruction Book or you can stop the mental attacks by commanding them to stop.
If the devil is using another person to initiate his attack on you, then you must emphatically speak the truth in love. Otherwise, if the destructive thoughts and attitudes and actions are allowed to escalate, then you will find yourself a victim of the evil rather than the overcoming authority over the situation.
The occasion where Jesus overcame the temptations of the devil in the wilderness are the perfect example. He overcame the negative temptations that were put there by the devil and He overcame them by using the authoritative power of My written words. My words always overcome negativity in every form. Learn to be an alert watchman, always eager to stop tempting thoughts sent by the evil one to afflict you with his negative attitudes and activities. My positive words take precedence, causing evil spirits to retreat in defeat.
The attitudes and actions of Jesus are always the standards by which you must think and act. Then you will be the overcomer. You will not be overcome by evil.
