Dear One,
There are ways to get back at someone who insults you or hurts you.
One way is the childish way, to strike back. Another way is to take them to court. The best way is to pray for them.
By praying for your enemies many people are changed, you and the perpetrators.
The first two ways are methods which originate in the flesh, the emotions, which can cause the perpetrator great physical or emotional harm. The seeds you sow in striking back will return to haunt you, as well.
My way of dealing with a person who emotionally hurts you originates in the Spirit and it does not harm anyone. Instead, it helps everyone. That's the difference in the flesh and the Spirit, one hurts and one helps.
Truly, My ways are not your ways. My ways have eternal results. Your ways, the ways of the flesh, have temporary results which hurt all of the people involved.
Go for the eternal results, the ones that signify positive and loving changes in everyone involved.
Again I tell you, choose the high road, the way of the Spirit, and everyone will live in peace.
Love, God
Matthew 5:44; Luke 6:27-31
