Dear One,
Giving joyfully to others comes from a pure heart.
Giving grudgingly to others comes from a sense of duty and an impure heart.
What makes an impure heart? A sense of selfishness creates it. The thought that giving to another person will cost you time and money comes from a selfish heart. Also refusing to giving a compliment or encouragement to another person accompanies the thought that you are taking attention away from yourself and putting it on another person.
What is the cure for ones who give grudgingly or out of a sense of duty? The only cure is a change of heart, a spiritual heart transplant replacing a heart of stone with a heart of flesh. A heart of stone is a heart with no feeling for others, only for ones self.
A heart of flesh is a soft heart with tenderness toward others.
A tender heart is full of love, compassion, mercy, forgiveness and it lives to give to others.
A stony heart is full of pride, judgment, unforgiveness, selfishness, hatred and bitterness, and it lives to perpetuate itself rather than perpetuating others.
A stony heart throws emotional stones at others, but you must have a tender heart toward those people because they have been victims of hurtful stones thrown at them in the past.
A tender heart passes love notes to others through giving of gifts, compliments, encouragement, cheeriness, mercy, forgiveness and love to others.
Check the condition of your heart. Give tenderly to people with a stony heart and fulfill My mission in the world.
Love, God
