EVIL THOUGHTS OF REGRET

My Dear Precious Child,
After entering into the narrow gate that leads to having a life of an abundance of love and peace, My instructions to My children are to forget all that is past and to press forward to what lies ahead, casting your eyes on Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of your faith.  Look closely at those instructions.
First of all, I said to forget all that is past, refusing to hold on to any regret or thoughts of the old life, the old curses, the old sins, the old mistakes and the old failures. (Philippians 3:13; Hebrews 12:1) That means to refuse to let the devil resurrect any thoughts in your mind of regret for things you did or didn't do, also something that someone else did or didn't do.  You let the devil resurrect those shortcomings when you yield to the thoughts of regret for things from the past.  You give life to the demons who caused the sins, giving him permission to write your shortcomings in the devil's book of records again.  They had been forgiven by Me, were nonexistent, but by your allowing the devil to cause you to make a record of them again in your mind, you allow him to curse your life all over again.  You have fallen for the deceitfulness of the devil again and allowed him to accuse you of things that I have forgiven and which I have erased from My mind.
Past failures don't exist unless you allow the devil to resurrect them in your mind by tempting you to regret them over and over again in the form of images placed in your mind that I caused to be nonexistent.  They were forgiven by Me because of the death of Jesus who died for the sins of the whole world.  When you begin to relive the regret of them, you give the devil power again over you and they become alive again with power to defeat you, if you allow them to be resurrected in your mind.  You glorify the devil's works in your life again instead of glorifying My forgiveness for all the sins of the whole world.
When you allow the devil to keep reintroducing regret for past shortcomings  in your mind, you exit the narrow gate that leads to happiness and soul peace, and you return to the wide gate which leads to destruction.  You have chosen curses instead of blessings.  You have chosen evil over good.  When you entertain persistent thoughts of regret, you speak words of regret which poison not only your future but the future of other people around you.  They can't change your thoughts of regrets for the past mistakes and they are powerless to help you.  You lose their respect for falling for the devil's tricks and then poisoning the atmosphere around you again and again with your self serving words of regret.  Instead of getting sympathy and pity from other people by your parading your past failures, you get disdain and disrespect from other people and you get more curses from the devil.
So what is the antidote for the devil's poison of regret that he places in your mind?  I said that instead of remembering the past mistakes, that you need to forget them, pressing forward toward the mark of My high calling that is in Christ Jesus.  (Philippians 3:14)  That high calling is using your authority to defeat the devil instead of yielding to him, just like Jesus did in the wilderness when He was tempted.  (Matthew 4:1-11; I John 3:8)  The high calling is also to love other people unconditionally as I love you. (John 13:34-35)  So your calling from Me is to love others as I love you and to destroy the works of the devil.  If you participate with the devil by resurrecting the past, you are not fulfilling My high calling which was in Christ Jesus.  Instead, you are fulfilling the devil's works in the earth.  Unfortunately, if you bind yourself to the devil instead of being yoked to Me, you receive the judgments of the devil. which are destruction and death.
Persisting in regretting the past does not cause you to inherit My kingdom of love and peace.  It inherits the devil's judgments for past sins of which you persist in reminding the devil so that he can persist in cursing your life.  When you bind yourself to thoughts of past mistakes, you bind yourself to the devil's judgments for the past mistakes.
Instead of persisting in regretting the past, I said to persevere in running the race that is set before you behind the narrow gate, looking to Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith.  He endured the cross for your sins and regrets.  Jesus suffered cruelty in his flesh so that they become erased, nonexistent, white as snow.  Allow them to remain dead and nonexistent instead of resurrecting them by regretting them again and again. (Hebrews 12:1-2)
I celebrate when My children forget what is past and press forward to the future, looking to the great and glorious things that they inherit from My forgiveness and love.
Refuse to participate in the ugliness of regret.  Its rewards are also ugly.
Instead, participate in the beauty of faith in a glorious future.  That is My gift to you.
Your Father of Newness of Life
