"Poor me" thoughts and "poor me" attitudes and "poor me" words never got anyone anywhere except deeper into the self pity pit.
"Poor you" thoughts and "poor you" attitudes and "poor you" words never got anyone anywhere except deeper into the pit of self pity.
Sympathy and empathy can cripple a person if they are not accompanied by thoughts, attitudes and words of hope and faith for the future.
Jesus said, "Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God. Believe also in Me."
Mere sympathy cannot heal you or another person. Faith and hope can heal you and others.
Do like Jesus did, embrace others, then serve words of faith and hope to them and watch them rebound from their devastation.
