My Dear Precious Child,
My Son Jesus was very hard on the Pharisees, the Sadducees, the scribes, the chief priest and the elders of the temple because of their hypocrisy. His prediction for them was that grief would come upon them because of their actions toward people. The many times that He said, "Woe to you," Jesus was saying that grief was going to come upon them because of their actions, grief that comes from hell because the devil was the father of their actions and his reason for tempting people to do his will in the earth is so that he can destroy them spiritually, physically, emotionally and mentally, making their lives hell on earth and sometimes even unto death. My stern warnings to them were in order to challenge the religious and political leaders to repent for their evil words, attitudes and actions and then they could welcome My kingdom of joy, happiness, peace and righteousness into their lives.
Jesus' first indictment of the religious and political leaders, calling them hypocrites, was to tell them that they shut up My kingdom in the faces of people, neither going in themselves nor allowing anyone else to go in. Matthew 23:13-14)
His second indictment, calling them hypocrites, was to tell them that grief was going to come into their lives because they travel all over the world making a single convert to their ways, and they make that person twice as fit for hell as they are. (Matthew 23:15)
His third indictment of the religious and political leaders was to call them blind guides who teach people to swear by certain holy things, the temple, the gold of the temple, the altar, heaven or Me, and He even compared the objects of their swearing. He said that swearing by anything is swearing by the One who is represented, which is Me. He said that grief would come to them if they swear by anything because if they can't perform the deed they will be condemned and judged by the devil through people. (Matthew 5;33-37) Jesus had already taught His followers not to swear to do anything because if they do they are opening themselves up for grief from the devil who judges and condemns. Jesus said that the Pharisees, Sadducees, scribes and others were teaching people to make choices which would bring grief into their lives.(Matthew 23:16-23)
The fourth reason for grief coming into the lives of the religious and political leaders whom Jesus called hypocrites was to tell them that they had rightfully paid their tithes of herbs but they had neglected the most important things related to the laws which are justice, mercy and faith He said they should have practiced those things toward people instead of merely sacrificing for neglecting to do what the laws told them to do. Again He called them blind guides, straining at gnats but swallowing camels. (Matthew 23:23-24)
The fifth reason for grief coming upon the hypocritical religious and political leaders was to happen because they cleaned up the outside of their lives but were leaving the inside full of extortion and intemperance. He had formerly accused them of going into the houses of widows and exacting money from the poor widows. He called the religious and political leaders blind Pharisees, telling them to clean the inside of themselves so that the outside would become clean also. Their evil seeds that they sowed would come upon them many times if they didn't turn from their evil ways by repenting and seeking My kingdom. (Matthew 23:25-26)
Jesus told the religious and political leaders the sixth reason that grief was about to come upon their lives and their nation because of their hypocrisy. He said that they were white washed tombs that look all handsome on the outside but on the inside are the bones of dead men and corruption. He said that it's the same as before, on the outside they appear to be good, honest people but on the inside they are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness. He said woes were to come upon them with resulting grief. (Matthew 23:27:28)
The seventh reason Jesus told the religious and political leaders that grief would be coming into their lives was because they were hypocritical, saying that they build sepulchers to the prophets and decorate the tombs of holy men, claiming that if they had been alive in the days of the prophets that they would never have killed them. He said that they were sons of the men who had murdered the prophets and they would finish off what their fathers had begun, meaning that they would be responsible for Jesus' death and eventually killing His prophets. (Matthew 23:29-32)
Jesus continued His warning to the religious and political leaders by calling them serpents, a brood of vipers, saying that they would grieve in the future because they would slaughter and crucify My prophets and the cleansed scribes, even scourging some in the synagogues and hunting them down from town to town. In doing that, He said that they would draw down upon themselves the blood of every holy man that had ever been shed on earth, even naming some that had been murdered in the temple. He prophesied that, honestly, all of that would come on that generation with much grief. (Matthew 23:33-36)
Then Jesus lamented that His heart and My heart ached that the Jews had killed the prophets and stoned the people whom I had sent to them. Yet, often I had longed to gather them to My heart like a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but they refused. Because of those choices, He said that their nation would be desolate and that they would not see him again until each one said, "Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord." (Matthew 23:37-39)
Until they individually recognized Jesus Christ as their Savior, they would have reason for grief in their lives because of their actions, their choices, but He said if they did recognize Him as My son, they would have the opportunity for My kingdom of heaven to come into their lives on earth.
After My kingdom came into the lives of people on the day of Pentecost, many Jews, Pharisees, Sadducees and scribes eventually recognized My Son as their Messiah. They repented and were born of My Spirit and baptized in My Holy Spirit, having My kingdom come into their lives with My righteousness, peace and joy. They became new creatures, forgiven of all of their evil deeds that were done in the names of religion and politics, just as I promised. Individually they were gathered unto My heart like chicks gather to their mother hen.
Celebrations took place and still take place in My heaven when even one hypocrite comes to Me to receive My kingdom into his or her life by being born again and baptized in My Holy Spirit, just like a person who is a pagan causes a celebration in My heaven when he or she becomes born of My Spirit and baptized in My Holy Spirit. All are welcome
