PARABLE ABOUT COUNTING THE COST

PARABLE ABOUT COUNTING THE COST
My Dear Precious Child,
In Jesus Christ's teachings about the kingdom of heaven coming into the earth in the baptism of the Holy Spirit for My children, He taught many times about not being attached to possessions and also about not being unduly attached to your  earthly family.  He said that everyone who comes to Him must become emotionally detached from his or her father, mother, children, wife, brothers, sisters, yes, his or her old life; instead he must carrying his or her own cross and follow Him.  He knew the lure of His disciples to go back to their former lives and the danger of it because the devil works through generational curses to suck you back into his covenant of sin and death after you have come into My kingdom of heaven.  (Luke 14:25-27)  He told the disciples to count the cost, that they must be willing to refuse to get emotionally engaged in the devil's lures through their earthly family so as not to fall into the devil's traps.
Jesus, Himself, had to emotionally disengage Himself from His own earthly family when they came to Him to try to get Him involved in a family problem.  He told them that His real family is composed of the people who do My will.  He could not afford to get sidetracked from His mission in the earth of doing My will and furthering My kingdom of Heaven in the earth.  (Matthew 12:46-50) What Jesus Christ owed to His earthly family was praying for them in His prayer time, but He knew that allowing them to engage Him in family squabbles would divert him away from My mission for Him.
He told His disciples which of them, intending to build a tower, would not first sit down and work out the cost to see if he had enough to complete it?  Otherwise, He said, if he laid the foundation and then found himself unable to finish the work, any onlookers would look, see the incomplete beginnings, and so they would make fun of the man and his good intentions.  The people would think him foolish for starting a project without being able to finish it.  Then He gave another logical example.  Jesus Christ asked what king marching to war against another king would not first sit down and consider whether, with his 10,000 men, he could withstand the other king who advanced against him with 20,000 men?   If he saw that he was at a disadvantage, when the other king is far off he should send envoys to the other kng and ask him to make peace. (Luke 14:28-32)
In that parable, Jesus was telling the disciples that they would need to refute all attachments to anything that would require their emotional attention.  He told His disciples that none of them could be His disciples unless the person gives up all allegiance to his or her earthly possessions because, since the devil is prince of your world, he will use your concern for your political party, your possessions or your family to lure you into conflict, worry, fretting, disappointment, disgust and strife.  In those negative emotions you separate yourself from My kingdom and dedicate yourself to the tricks of the devil's kingdom. (Luke 14:33)
Then Jesus Christ added another parable to the last one in order for the disciples to realize the seriousness of their devotion to Him.  He said that salt is a useful thing, but if salt loses its taste, how can it be seasoned again?  He said that it is not even good enough to be used for soil or the manure pile.  So, Jesus Christ told them that people have to throw salt out into the garbage when it loses its taste.   Again He told them to listen, anyone who has ears to hear. (Luke 14:35-36)
In the parable of the salt that has lost its taste, Jesus Christ was telling you that once you have inherited My kingdom of heaven into your life when you were born of My Holy Spirit and baptized in My Holy Spirit, enjoying My peace and love, but if you enter into conflict and strife you are no longer spiritually equipped to be an ambassador of My kingdom of heaven whose spiritual emotions displayed in the earth are righteousness, peace and joy in My Holy Spirit.  Your emotional involvement with worldly concerns and worries will jerk you quickly out of My kingdom of heaven because they are two different worlds.
Through Jesus Christ I was talking about your devotion to Me and to Him and how it must not lessen in its intensity or you will fall away from Me completely in your devotion.  When you have lost any of the intensity of your devotion to Me through Jesus Christ, then your salt has lost its flavor, thus losing its power.  If you do not keep all of the intensity of your devotion to Me, then your salt has lost its power to cleanse, purify and preserve you in My kingdom.  Salt is a purifier, a preserver and a cleansing agent.   Don't allow anything to rob you of your peace in the Holy Spirit.  Your enemy, the devil, never gives up.  Recognize his efforts to get you involved in earthly conflicts.  If he can get you emotional about financial, religious, political or family matters, he has diverted your attention from Me and My kingdom and transported you back into the kingdom of satan, which wants all of your attention.  When that happens, your prayers have little power because you are trying to serve two masters, the devil and Me.
Pay attention to all of the parables.  They were taught by My Son in order for you to avoid all of the tricks of the devil to divert your attention from Me and My kingdom of heaven and burden you with worldly problems.  That is his strategy and most of the time it works, even for My spiritual children.
You must be a watchman, watching for demonic tricks to divert your attention from Me and My inheritance for you.  They are all familiar tricks and Jesus Christ identified them in all of His parables that He taught.  My Holy Spirit is identifying them and for you and enlightening the dangers.  Listen to Him.  As Jesus said, if you have spiritual ears to hear, listen attentively and then obey.  Your peace and joy in the earth is in danger of being thwarted by your enemy, the devil.
    Your Father of Glorious Rewards
