SHED THE DARKNESS

Dear One, With the new year, you must shed the tight, unbearable coat of unforgiving thoughts and attitudes. It jerks your mind backward into the past with images of injury to your body, emotions or spirit, robbing you of life. The object of the coat of bitterness is to keep you from enjoying the freedom that I have for you, freedom from the past. It acts as a moving picture in your mind, lassoing your emotions and catapulting you backward into despair and depression. The new year that I have for you is filled with new adventures, new blessings, new excitement, new loves, new happy memories to be formed in the place of the injurious ones that you leave behind when you shed the heavy coat of darkness, leaving behind all mistakes, all bitterness, all injured feelings, all condemnation, all judgment, all fear and all guilt. The coat of darkness constantly applies hurtful thorns to your life. I replace it with new clothes which warm and heal your flesh. When you shed that coat of heaviness, you emerge as a newly born again child with new visions of love, success, prosperity, goodness, kindness and mercy as your new clothes. They come to you only after the coat of darkness has been shed by you. I do not leave you alone as you shed the coat of heaviness. When you make the decision to shed the darkness, I am present to ease that dark coat off of you, taking it off of both of your arms, then your back and your entire body. Next comes freedom and newness of life because you have released the old bindings and you emerge again as a new creature, eager to be rewarded with what I have for you. The first reward is total freedom from the darkness of the past. You are in Christ, a totally new creature. The old things pass away and, behold, all things become new again, pure, clear and joyful. Declare your newness of life after you deposit the coat of past darkness into My flaming garbage pile. Walk in freedom and newness of life as a purified, clean, new creature who is clothed with joy. Walk out of the darkness of the old year by taking off the coat of dark thoughts and attitudes, then walk into the light of the new year that I have for you. I am the promised abundant LIFE!!
